The current Luton Chess Club Champion for 2025, Thomas P O'Brien, was presented with the trophy earlier this year (pictured above) before it was returned to display at the University of Bedfordshire. He is not defending his title and there will be a new champion this year.
The Luton Chess Club Championship for 2026 is quite exciting. Three former winners, four new club members, and three juniors are competing for the trophy. With the first round completed, the round 2 pairings are tabled below.
Room G225, Campus Centre, University of Bedfordshire is available on Tuesdays from 7.30 pm to play matches. The suggested date for round 2 matches is Tuesday 3rd March 2026 as there are no league matches for Luton on this date. All round 2 games to be played by end of Tuesday 31 March 2026.
Please inform Peter Montgomery and /or Andrew Pye the result of your game. Good luck!
