Luton Chess Club's rising star Jonadab Oki entered the Major Open section at the British Chess Championships this year. He competed within a group 150 ambitious competitors over a 9 round Swiss System. Playing one game a day, Jonadab scored 4 wins, 3 losses and a draw to end on a very respectable 4.5/9. His round 3 match was quite special, in which he played an exchange sacrifice against a strong up and coming 16 year old junior.
